Wiedemann Hill Mansion
Newport, KY
Spring is a time of new beginnings, fresh blooms, and love in the air. What better way to celebrate love than with a Spring wedding at the stunning Wiedemann Hill Mansion in Newport, Kentucky? This historic mansion, with its breathtaking views of the Cincinnati skyline and the Ohio River, provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic and enchanting wedding ceremony.
Before their wedding day, Matthew, Jack and I headed to Krohn Conservatory for a luscious greenery filled engagement session. Krohn is one of my favorite spots for photos in all of Cincinnati! If you’re interested in seeing more from this venue and learning about my other favorite spots, check out my blog about the Best Spots for Engagement Photos in Cincinnati!
Fast forward a few months and I had the pleasure of capturing Matthew and Jack’s wedding at Wiedemann Hill Mansion. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and their love was truly palpable. As the grooms exchanged their vows in front of their closest friends and family, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony performed by Matthew’s grandmother, making it even more special.
Wiedemann Hill Mansion itself is a sight to behold. With its grand staircase, intricate woodwork, and elegant decor, it exudes old-world charm and sophistication. The expansive grounds are meticulously landscaped, with lush gardens and flowering trees creating a serene and picturesque setting. The views of the river and city skyline are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. Luckily the clouds cleared and we were able to get a perfect view of the beautiful city skyline!
The wedding reception was held in Wiedemann Hill Mansion’s many ballrooms, with high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and ornate detailing. The tables were adorned with fresh flowers, gold accents, flickering candles, and twinkling lights, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere. But what truly made this wedding special was the love and joy that these two exuded. It was clear that these two grooms were meant to be together, and their happiness was infectious. The love and support of their friends and family was obvious; it was a privilege to witness such a beautiful celebration of love and commitment.
In a world where LGBTQ+ rights are still being fought for, it was heartwarming to see two people openly and unapologetically celebrating their love for each other. This Wiedemann Hill Mansion wedding was a reminder that love knows no bounds and that everyone deserves the chance to marry the person they love.
Congratulations Matthew and Jack!
